The Residency Experience
The Healthesystems residency experience provides valuable insight into the managed care Pharmacy Benefits Management arena. Our highly interactive and intellectually-driven program affords individuals with experience in several diverse areas including: disease management, drug utilization review, drug information, patient regimen evaluation, data mining and outcomes reporting, clinical service development, mentoring and teaching clerkship students, and research.
The Healthesystems Managed Care Residency Program
The Healthesystems Residency Program is a one year post-graduate program beginning in July and concluding in June, designed to provide in-depth knowledge of a Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) company from clinical, managerial and operational perspectives.
The goals of the Healthesystems Residency Program include applying clinical knowledge towards the development of drug plans, adjudication edits and clinical intervention tools as well as preparation to assume a position within a managed care organization involving the implementation of clinical programs.
The program is located at the Healthesystems corporate headquarters office located in Tampa, Florida.

Residency Program Qualifications
Individuals wishing to apply for the Healthesystems Residency Program must meet the following requirements:
:: PharmD Degree Florida Pharmacist License or licensed within the first quarter of the program
:: Curriculum Vitae 3 professional or academic letters of recommendation
:: Official transcript Letter of intent
:: Submittal of a review on a HES-selected article from current pain management literature
:: On-site interview by invitation only
