Markus Waite, Chief Information Officer

Markus joined Healthesystems in 2007 as the company’s Chief Information Officer. In this role, he is accountable for directing the information and data integrity of the enterprise and its groups and for all Information Technology functions of the company. This includes all data centers, production scheduling functions, IT help desks, communication networks (voice and data), computer program development and computer systems operations. Since joining the company, he has been instrumental in the success of several key projects, including the implementation of a new disaster recovery and business continuity plan, fiber build out for all sites, conversion to an MPLS network, as well as implementation of a new Avaya phone system.

Markus is a talented and accomplished IT professional with over 20 years of health care experience. He is adept at directing product launches, business development efforts, application design, content management, and business integration. Prior to joining Healthesystems, Markus was co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of a web-based software company that developed Agency Management and Benefits Administration systems for group health insurance agencies. At this company, his software was used by many top agencies across the country and served thousands of employers.  He began his technology career with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and also served Microsoft Consulting Services for several years as a senior database architect.

Markus holds a Management Information Systems degree from the University of Georgia as well as many technical certifications.
