Matthew G. Hewitt, Assistant Vice President of Client Services
As Assistant Vice President of Client Services, Matt oversees the Client Services division, with offices in Tampa, FL and Scottsdale, AZ. Under Matt’s guidance, the Client Services group identifies and utilizes actionable data to create administrative efficiencies and cost savings for Healthesystems customers and pharmacies.
Matt is responsible for the oversight and operations of both pharmacy and ancillary benefits management focused Customer Service Centers which are staffed 24/7/365, and his group partners closely with the Company’s Account Management team to provide industry-leading service through real-time prior authorizations and streamlined workflow processes.
Under Matt’s leadership, the Customer Service Center has achieved industry-leading service levels and high customer service marks from clients for our innovative web-based claims information portal, Vertice. Matt also oversees the Operations team which is responsible for scanning, processing and paying out-of-network bills, exceeding all state reporting turnaround requirements, and enrolling pharmacies for online processing.
For the past 16 years Matt has been servicing workers’ compensation payers in various capacities, with a focus on reducing costs in pharmacy and ancillary services. Prior to his current role, Matt served as Director of Account Management for three years and Director of Operations for three years. In 2003, Matt was awarded the National Account Manager of the Year award. Prior to beginning employment in the workers’ compensation industry Matt graduated from Auburn University and played professional tennis on the ATP tour.
