Kristine Kennedy, Vice President of Product Management
As Vice President of Product Management, Kristine is responsible for driving and implementing the vision and strategy for the Healthesystems product portfolio, discovering and validating market problems for our customers and maintaining the product portfolio roadmap.
Since coming on board in 2004, Kristine has been instrumental in establishing the policies and infrastructure that have guided Healthesystems while effectively supporting the rapid growth experienced by the company. Kristine has played a crucial role in building and supporting the infrastructure for all customer service center and claims adjudication services, and in making the company a true self-servicing organization. In addition, her input into some of the initial corporate development projects helped make Healthesystems one of the first PBMs to streamline workflow using advanced technology Web tools.
In 2011, Kristine was elected co-chair of the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs’ (NCPDP) Property and Casualty/Workers’ Compensation Work Group (WG16). This position gives her the opportunity to take a lead role in efforts to promote the national electronic standards for pharmacy billing and to educate policymakers on issues pertinent to the delivery of prescription care and services for workers' compensation patients.
Kristine began her career in the health care industry in 1989 as a medical claims processor. As time progressed, she gained expertise in various aspects of the business – from customer service training, to medical bill review, to managed care coordination and managing vendor relations – for both group health and workers’ compensation insurance carriers. This broad experience on the payer side of the industry gave her the first-hand knowledge and keen perspective that allows her to understand and respond to the unique and complex issues of pharmacy and ancillary clients.
